New Overtime Laws Effective December 1

The Department of Labor recently released the new rules governing overtime.
The changes will make an additional 4.2 million American workers eligible for overtime if they work more than 40 hours in a week.
It is important for California employers to note that the new federal salary threshold is higher than the California minimum annual salary threshold, which is calculated at two times the state minimum wage of $10 an hour.
