Oklahoma Passes Medical Marijuana Law
posted: Thursday, July 12th
Law Addresses Marijuana and the Workplace
Effective July 26, 2018, Oklahoma law will generally prohibit employers from discriminating against a medical marijuana patient in hiring, termination, or any term or condition of employment. While employers can take action against a medical marijuana patient if he or she possesses marijuana while at work or during work hours, employers cannot take action against a medical marijuana patient solely based on his or her status as a medical marijuana license holder or the results of a positive marijuana drug test.
