Delaware Raises Minimum Wage

State Also Establishes Training and Youth Wage
Under a new law, Delaware's minimum wage will increase to:
- $8.75 per hour, effective October 1, 2018; and
- $9.25 per hour, effective October 1, 2019.

Under a separate law, effective January 1, 2019, an employer may pay $0.50 less than the minimum wage to an employee:
- During the first 90 consecutive calendar days of employment; or
- Who is under 18 years of age.
