Reminder: New Minimum Wage Rates Now Effective

Minimum Wage Rates Have Increased in MD, OR, DC, and Several Large CA Cities
As of July 1, 2017, the minimum wage has increased in the following states and localities:
- Maryland: .25 per hour
- Oregon: .25 per hour (.25 per hour in the Portland metropolitan area; .00 per hour in Portland metropolitan area)
- District of Columbia (DC): .50 per hour (.33 per hour for tipped employees)
- Los Angeles, CA: .00 per hour for employers with 26 or more employees; .50 per hour for employers with 25 or fewer employees
- San Francisco, CA: .00 per hour
- San Jose, CA: .00 per hour
Note: Additional minimum wage rates may apply for tipped employees and in metropolitan areas. Be sure to comply with any local wage requirements that apply to your business.
